The application process is quite competitive. Because of the large number of requests and the limited funds available for regranting, we must be especially vigilant during our reviews.
We typically receive funding requests for nearly 400% more than what the State allots us. The average State award is between $200 - $500. Haverhill's average is $658.
Applicants should be prepared for the possibility of not receiving full funding and plan on securing additional financial resources. Documenting other resources in your application budget will help you compete more successfully.
In addition to the State's criteria for eligibility, we have specific funding priorities that allow us to respond to the changing needs of our community. There are two types of grants. The LCC grant funds projects. The Field Trip program (formerly known as the PASS grant ) funds field trips for students K-12 to cultural venues.
